Our trip to Ben Lomond, Tasmania is one of those memorable ones.
It’s a three (3) hours drive from Hobart via Oatlands.
On the way to the area, we found a lot of scenics views which is worth looking, this includes Oatlands, Campbell Town which I will be publishing in a separate link.
Ben Lomond offers a lot of snow experiences, this includes snowboarding, tobogganing or just sightseeing in the snow the mountain has all you need. A video below showing some of the fun escapades we’ve done. Check it out.

If even you get fright driving the 7km up all the way towards Jacobs Ladder to the peak, there is a shuttle bus that will pick you up from the bottom car park at the parks and Wildlife Service registration booth.
There is also an instructor for those newbies who are eager to learn skiing. We ended up buying gloves on their store as we are all excited to go and quite unfortunate to left the first prepared gloves back in our house. Staff were very helpful and very accommodating to our request assisted us and directed us towards the right gloves for us.
French fries and hot chocolate were quite a treat which are all available in their store.
Can’t wait to revisit the place and I will be posting updates here as leaning to stay on their accommodations is one on my bucket list I am committed to fulfilling shortly.
